Booking and cancellation

We accept reservations online via our website, click here, and over the phone (03 5426 1762). We require a 50% deposit upon booking which is fully refundable as long as you let us know about your change in plans at least two weeks prior to your arrival. (eg: by 3pm Friday for a Friday night reservation in two weeks.) For Exclusive Use Bookings we require 30 days cancellation notice. Deposits are kept for cancellations made within 14 days of arrival (30 days for Exclusive Use). Cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival, and no-shows, are charged in full for the first three nights of the reservation. Please click here for COVID 19 Cancellation Policy. If for some exceptional reason we need to cancel a booking prior to your arrival we will provide a full refund. Rates are for 2 guests. Additional guests charged per person per night.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is guaranteed by 4pm but if you are hoping to arrive earlier than that just let us know and we’ll do our best to have your cottage ready for you sooner. If you are checking in late at night or overnight no problem. We’ll make arrangements with you prior to your arrival and have your cottage all ready for you. Check out is not until 10.00am so you have time for a relaxing breakfast before you leave.

Wi Fi

Based on the request of our guests we are proudly WiFi FREE.  Come up and unplug with us.  Of course, if you need to log-on you are welcome to call in at The Farmhouse and use our complimentary WiFi.  Alternatively, we are happy to loan you a WiFi dongle which you can recharge and use in your cottage.

Smoking

All our cottages are non-smoking. We do provide ashtrays outside the cottage if necessary. We ask that care be taken if smoking during fire season.

Children

Braeside Mt Macedon is family friendly. Sydney and Anzac (the alpacas) and the chooks love the attention from our smaller guests. We have a number of dams on the property and also share the place with kangaroos, wombats, koala’s and many native birds. We do ask that children are supervised at all times and respect the privacy of our other guests. Please order additional beds and cots when booking.

Pets

Unfortunately not everybody’s pets play well together, and no pets play well with alpacas and kangaroos. For these reasons we have a no pet policy. We can recommend local kennelling facilities if required.

Fire season

Being surrounded by all this natural beauty means that we have to be extra careful during fire season. We follow local fire ratings. There are strictly no fires on Total Fire Ban Days. The property is closed on Code Red rated days and on Severe and Extreme rated days we ask guests to plan their activities around the local villages from 10.00am.
